Elscint recently completed a project which required feeding of two parts, one being Cannisters, which were in two sizes, 60 mm and 48 mm in length, though the diameters were the same. These were to be fed at a speed of 60 parts per minute with the open side up orientation. A belt elevator hopper was required for extra loading capacity with a storage capacity of around 3000 cannisters. A 800 mm long linear track was also provided ahead of the bowl feeder to take the parts upto the customer’s machine.

The second parts were valves, where the output required was in 2 rows at a speed of 35 parts per minute per row. In case of two outlets, it is essential to provide overflow for both the outlets. A 800 mm long linear track was required for this application too with double outlet rows. In both these cases, Model 400 with a cylindrical bowl was used and the linear vibrator used for Model LF II. The two outlets were provided as per the customer’s required centre distance. As it was a pharmaceutical application, all the items were made in SS 316 L grade with Stainless Steel mounting plates along with a stainless steel belt hopper for the extra loading capacity.
