BUILT FOR VISION INSPECTION
Every element of this system is optimised to support vision camera integration — consistent part presentation, stable illumination clearance, and predictable spacing on the disc surface.
Rotating Glass Disc
A precision-driven transparent glass disc presents each part in a stable, singulated orientation — enabling cameras to capture full 360° inspection data with no shadowing or obscured surfaces.
Vibratory Bowl Feeder
A vibratory bowl feeds screws and nuts of various sizes consistently onto the inspection disc. Tooling is designed for quick changeover between part families with minimal downtime.
Dual Reject + Accept Sorting
Two dedicated reject bins and one accept output channel allow for intelligent multi-class sorting — separating different defect types into distinct streams rather than a single combined reject pool.
Up to 700 PPM
Engineered for production environments, the system sustains throughputs of up to 700 parts per minute — matching the speed demands of modern automated assembly and quality lines.
Multi-Size Changeover
Tooling and disc guides are designed to accommodate a range of screw and nut sizes. Quick-release changeover hardware duly laser marked with the correct part numbers, means operators can switch part families rapidly without specialist tooling.
Standard Proven Design
This is a factory-standard Elscint unit — not a custom prototype. Delivered with validated performance data, it integrates readily with all major vision inspection camera platforms on the market.
HOW IT WORKS
Four stages. One seamless inspection loop.
STEP 01
Bulk Loading
Screws or nuts are loaded in bulk into the vibratory bowl. The bowl’s helical track orientates and singulates each part continuously.
STEP 02
Disc Presentation
Parts transfer from the bowl track onto the rotating glass disc, where they are presented in a flat, stable, evenly-spaced arrangement directly under the camera field of view.
STEP 03
Vision Capture
Your vision system captures images from above and below simultaneously through the transparent disc, enabling full surface, dimensional, and thread inspection at full line speed.
STEP 04
Sorted Output
Pneumatic ejectors act on the inspection verdict — directing good parts to the accept bin and defective parts to either of two independently triggered reject channels.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Elscint Vision Inspection Feeding System is purpose-designed as a turnkey feeder platform for vision system integrators and OEM machine builders. Whether you build dedicated fastener inspection machines or multi-purpose sorting systems, this standard unit removes the mechanical development burden — so your team focuses on the vision software and algorithms.
Ideal for manufacturers of screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and headed fasteners where dimensional conformance, thread integrity, head defects, or surface finish must be verified at volume.
