Elscint recently manufactured and exported a set of two vibratory bowl feeders to Spain. One bowl feeder was for feeding of plastic insert with the orientation of pointed side up and the other was for feeding of a metal clip. The orientation of the metal clip was “hanging on a rail”. The parts being small and due to the fact that the customer was having a stock hopper for each of these parts, Elscint used cylindrical bowls for each of these applications with proper coating. Model 250 was used and the speed achieved was 60 to 70 parts per minute against the 30 parts per minute required by the customer. Bowl the bowl feeders were shipped to the customer in less than 3 weeks by air freight.
