Elscint recently manufactured a vibratory bowl feeder for large rings. There were two types of rings, both having diameter 66.50 x 28.50 mm ht. However, the internal as well as some external dimensions of both these rings were different. As the rings were large and heavy, Elscint recommended its Model 630 with a stainless steel bowl. The rings required orientation with respect to their face. These was ensured in the bowl itself. Further, the rings being metallic and heavy, they made a huge noise. Hence, Elscint provided Elscinthane PU coating to ensure that there was no metal to metal contact between the rings and the bowl, thus reducing the noise level drastically from 85 db to less than 80 db. Further, a circular noise enclosure lined with acoustic foam was provided to further dampen the noise and get it below 70 db. The scope of supply further consisted of a gravity chute which would convey the rings upto the conveyor of the customer and a stand with (+/-) 50 mm height adjustment.
