Elscint recently manufactured a blow feed system for feeding of small screws for an automatic screwdriver. The screw size was M3 x 10 mm height. The requirement was to blow feed the screws 5 mtrs away to an automatic screwdriver with the tail forward orientation. Model 160, which is a single coil version with a cylindrical bowl was used for this application with a pneumatic singulator with FESTO make cylinder. Once the singulation took place and one screw was isolated, the blow feed was activated for air blow of the screw. The complete assembly was housed in an enclosure with a top see through polycarbonate cover. The electrical panel too was housed inside the same with just the ON / OFF and the vibrator controller panel on the top for ease of access for the operator. The complete equipment was completed within 4 weeks and dispatched to the customer. You can have a look at the video of the equipment.
