Elscint recently manufactured Vibratory Bowl Feeders for feeding of inhaler Pumps at a speed of 140 parts per minute. The size of the pump with cap was dia 25 mm x 25 mm ht. However, due to the attached pipe, the total length came to 140 mm. The customer had space constraints and hence wanted a smaller size bowl. Hence, Elscint suggested Model 400 with a dia 700 mm stainless steel bowl. The pump did not have any area to hold and hence getting the required speed was a challenge. Further the long length tube had a tendency of getting interlocked, holding back the parts at the bottom of the bowl, further affecting the speed. However, Elscint got over these odds and achieved the required speed.
