Elscint recently manufactured a vibratory bowl feeding system for segregation of M6 screws having different lengths. There was a mix-up between M6 x 15 and M6 x 25 mm screws and the customer wanted an equipment to segregate them. The requirement was that after segregation, the respective sizes should be collected in separate bins. For this application, Elscint used Model 250 D vibratory bowl feeder which has a loading capacity of 12 kgs for feeding of the bolts. Thereafter, segregation of the bolts with respect to the length was done with a the respective screws falling in separate bins. A gate was provided for the smaller size to fall out first. Thereafter, the bigger size was taken forward so that it moved ahead and fell in another bin kept at a separate place. Elscint provided the equipment with a base plate and bins duly fixed to the plate for ease of operation of the customer.
