Feeding of small and light components is difficult as the parts tend to jump. However, Elscint has developed a unique vibratory bowl feeder for feeding of very small light quartz and ceramic parts having diameter from 0.40 mm to 2 mm and length from 5 mm to 40 mm. These parts being very light, feeding them at a high speed was a challenge, which Elscint accomplished easily. The Elscint Model 160 vibratory feeder with a stainless steel machined bowl along with Elscinthane bowl coating was used in this application. The orientation was not critical but the requirement of high speed & accurate feeding was more important, which Elscint could easily complete to the customer’s satisfaction.
