The plugs were having a diameter of 7.2 mm on one end and 7 mm on another. The length was just 8 mm. As the orientation required was smaller diameter forward, Elscint provided a motorized roller orientation unit ahead of the bowl. This ensured that the orientation was hundred percent correct. Thereafter the al plugs were dropped in a tube and an escapement \/ singulator was provided to release only one plug at a time on receipt of a signal from the customer\u2019s end. After the release, the plugs were blow fed to a height of 3 metres where they were used for assembly.
