Feeding of Rings in rolling Orientation with Escapement

Elscint recently completed an order wherein there was a requirement to feed metal rings having dia 24 mm x 10 mm ht upto 52 mm x 12 mm ht. in rolling orientation. The complete scope consisted of a vibratory bowl feeder for feeding and orienting the rings, a metallic noise enclosure lined with acoustic foam for reduction in noise level, gravity chute with a pneumatic escapement for single component singulation with the accompanying controls and a stand to mount all these. Elscint completed this in a record time and supplied the same to its customer. Further, a cast aluminium bowl, coated with red colour polyurethane was used for this purpose. This ensured that the noise level was less, the noise enclosure further reduced the noise level to below 70 Db. Elscint also arranged for commissioning of the equipment at the customer’s factory in Bangalore.
