Elscint Vibratory bowl feeder for feeding of small plastic Bush

Elscint recently manufactured a vibratory bowl feeder for feeding of a small bush having diameter 10 mm x 11 mm ht. with a small collar on one side. The bottom side of the bush was open to an extent of 30% and the customer wanted reference to the same. The cut portion was supposed to face towards the bowl centre. Further, the customer has a space constraint and hence the bowl diameter had to be less than 300 mm. Outlet ht. too was to be restricted to just 230 mm from the base plate. Out of this, the requirement of having the cut side facing the bowl centre was the most challenging one. However, Elscint not only ensured that the parts were correctly oriented but also ensured that the speed was more than 120 parts per minute (as against requirement of just 70 parts per minute). Proper overflow too was provided whereby the plastic bush fell back into the bowl once the outlet was stopped. Elscint used its Model 160 with a Cast Aluminium bowl coated with Elscinthane PU coating. The tooling was made in stainless steel. The bowl feeder was manufactured in record time and dispatched to the customer.
