Elscint Vibratory Bowl Feeder for feeding large Plastic Bottles without base

Elscint recently manufactured two vibratory bowl feeders, one clockwise and one anti-clockwise for feeding of plastic bottles having sizes, diameter 45 mm x 90 mm, diameter 55 mm x 110 and diameter 65 mm x 140 mm length. All three bottles were to be fed on both the bowl feeders. The bottles did not have any base (the base side too was open), which made it difficult for them to stand up and remain in that position. Additionally, due to this, the bottles would get into each other, which created a train of bottles, making them difficult to become upright. Further the customer had mandated that there should be no changeover between these sizes of bottles and they should run without any adjustment or changeover. This made the project more difficult. The speed required too was high with 40 bottles per minute for the smallest size and 30 bottles per minute for he biggest size. Elscint used its Model 630 vibratory bowl feeder for this application with a step / cascade bowl. Elscinthane PU coating was applied on the same so that that white coloured bottles do not lose colour while moving in the bowl. Airjets were used for making the bottles stand up into upright position as the requirement was to have them standing. The required speed was achieved and the bowl feeders were supplied to the customer in Europe.
