Elscint Elevator Hoppers

Elscint manufactures extra capacity hopper elevators from 35 Ltr to 125ltr. Capacity. The hopper elevator can be used not only for accumulating and dumping of bulk components but also used for orientation and feeding of the parts.

The biggest advantage of using a hopper elevator is that the loading height reduces to less than 800 mm from ground level and you can reduce reloading of parts in the bowl. This is especially useful in case of feeding at a height as well as when the parts are heavy. Outlet heights can be upto 4 mtrs from the ground level.

Hopper

The bulk storage hopper can be made for capacities ranging from 35 ltrs to upto 125Ltrs. Hopper was designed with the loading height at about 600 mm from the ground level where the parts could be dumped. The Elevator Feeder carried the parts to a particular height before releasing them onto an outlet chute.

Safety

The moving parts of the Elevator are completely enclosed and concealed as a safety precaution with a top see through polycarbonate cover with hinges for easy loading of parts into the elevator. The Gearbox is fitted with a torque arm and limit switch to ensure that the motor trips in case of overload. A level control inside the bowl feeder can provide signal to the elevator to start / stop, providing intermittent operation. Additionally, a level control inside the elevator can be provided to provide signal / alarm once the parts in the hopper reduce.

Construction

The construction is available in either mild steel square tubes, S.S. Square Tubes orAluminium Extruded sections and the hopper is made of stainless steel. The mounting channels can either be in mild steel, duly powder coated or else stainless steel. As with all Elscint equipment, the construction is rigid and modular with excellent build quality.

Types :

  • Inclined type – This is used for metal parts as well as plastic parts too. The belt can be either made of PU / PVC or else in hard plastics material. Stainless steel and mild steel slats are also available on demand.
  • Straight type – This is used for plastic and rubber parts were there is a space constraint. The belt is made of PU / PVC. FDA approved white belts can be provided too. This is mainly for light duty applications.
